What is new for 2016?

VIP is moving locations within the arena to a special section on the arena floor instead of the suite level and we’re changing both the food and beer components working with a new team and concept for 2016. Altogether there were 57 breweries represented at the 2015 festival and we’re working hard to increase breweries to 75 with over 150 beers present!

What is a Reading Craft Beer Festival and how does it work?

The Reading Craft Beer Festival is a 4 hour fantastic beer tasting event offering you a sampling cup and unlimited 2 oz. pours of over 150 beers included in your admission price. All attendees must be 21 years or older, without exception.

 

How much are tickets and where can I get them?

Tickets are priced at $65 for VIP, $45 for general admission and $10 for designated drivers. Tickets are available at VF Outlet Box Office at the Santander Arena, Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com, or charge-by-phone: 800-745-3000. Please call 800-745-3000 and dial “0” for operator assistance to purchase ADA tickets over the phone.

 

What do I get for my money?

VIP tickets include early admission to the event allowing for 5 hours of beer sampling, a commemorative sampling glass, exclusive access to the VIP area, special features including hors d'oeuvres paired with VIP only beer selections, and access to everything in general admission.

 

General admission tickets include a commemorative sampling glass, 4 hours of unlimited samples from over 150 beer selections, and access to concessions and vendors on the concourse and arena floor.

 

Designated Driver tickets include access to the Designated Driver lounge including games, lounge furniture, snacks and ample non-alcoholic beverages.

 

Can I upgrade my ticket?

The Santander Arena has a strict no refund/exchange policy which prevents doing an upgrade. Enjoyment of the VIP features requires a VIP ticket.

 

Where is the best place to buy tickets?

Ticketmaster outlets, online and charge by phone all have a processing fee which can be avoided if you head directly to the arena box office.

 

Is there Will Call?

There is a will call window at the arena box office. Will Call allows patrons to pick their tickets up the day of the event at the box office. Will Call is typically used when purchasing tickets by phone/internet or if you need to leave tickets for family, friends or associates. What’s the deal with designated driver tickets?

We want everyone to be safe which includes getting home. Designated drivers can enter the facility with their group at either noon or 1 PM, and can enjoy the designated driver lounge located on the arena floor level accessible from the concourse, or can walk around the festival. The designated driver lounge will be stocked with non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. To encourage everyone’s safety, designated drivers must not drink, and even a sip, of an alcoholic beverage consumed is grounds for immediate removal from the festival. Please help the festival organizers with their vigilance of this simple and important rule.

 

Do I need an ID?

Yes. Valid identification is required for admission to the event. Security reserves the right to refuse entry for anyone without proper identification.

 

Do you have a Designated Driver Ticket program?

Yes, purchase 4 or more GA or VIP tickets in a single transaction and you will receive a free designated driver ticket with your tickets. This will happen automatically; no additional steps are required on your end.

 

Can I bring my own food and drink?

No. Outside food and beverage will not be allowed into the event. After all, we are going to provide plenty of opportunities to try great food and drink while you're here! 

 

Is food included in my ticket price?

Depends on what ticket you buy. Food is available for purchase separately from our variety of concession stands on the Santander Arena concourse level. Food prices typically range from about $4-$12. VIP tickets include hors d'oeuvres expertly paired with VIP only beer selections. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available in the designated driver lounge..

 

Do you accept credit card payments day of at the box office for admission to the Festival?

Yes. Provided there are tickets still available; we accept all major credit cards.

 

Will there be an ATM on-site?

Yes, it’s Santander Arena after all. Santander Bank ATMs are located on-site convenient to the concession area and outside of the arena near the box office.

 

Can I bring my children?

Definitely NOT. This is a 21 and over event.

 

Can I bring my pet?

No, we do not allow pets except for assistance animals.

 

Is there a lost and found?

If you have lost or misplaced a possession and you believe it happened at the Reading Craft Beer Festival, please call 610-898-7469 during normal business hours and ask to speak to someone in lost and found. The Santander Arena and Reading Craft Beer Festival organizers are not responsible for lost articles.

 

Where do we park our cars?

Event parking for the Santander Arena and the Performing Arts Center is provided at all of the parking garages and lots owned and operated by the Reading Parking Authority.

Event parking is traditionally $8.00 – $9.00 at all facilities, except for the Penn Court Lot which is $12.00.

 

State Lot, BARTA garage, Double Tree Garage – $12.00

South Penn garage, Reed and Court garage, 7th and Washington Lot – $9.00

4th and Cherry garage, Poplar and Walnut garage, and 6th / Cherry lot – $8.00

How do I get around if I am mobility challenged?

There are two elevators located in the Santander Arena which can be utilized to transport patrons to and from both the suite level and floor level of the arena when needed. These elevators are located behind section 114 and also at the main entrance of the building at the box office, located by section 102.

 

Will there be Taxicabs available after the event?

We have alerted the local cab companies that our event is taking place and they will be on hand as available. If a cab is not immediately available we will assist you in securing a cab. Please let any security or staff person know you need help securing a taxi.

 

Can I smoke?

Smoking and e-vapor devices are strictly prohibited in the Santander Arena. There is a designated smoking section located outside of the building. Access to this area is through the exit doors located behind section 111 on the concourse level.

 

Are there items prohibited at the Reading Craft Beer Festival?

Yes! Guns, knives or weapons of any kind, outside food and beverage, laser pointers, large bags or backpacks, and recording devices (audio or video) are prohibited. All patrons are subject to search.

 

Is there a first-aid station?

The first-aid station at the Santander Arena can be found behind section 107/108 next to the concession stand. If you need immediate assistance, please contact an event staff member and paramedics will be directed to your location immediately.

 

How do I get a press pass?

Working media will be admitted by presenting proper credentials at the Box Office. Please email brewcrewevents@gmail.com. Media admission will not include beer sampling. Professional cameras (professional = having a removable lens) and audio/video recording are prohibited in the Santander Arena for most events.

 

Can I volunteer at the Reading Craft Beer Festival?

Interested volunteers can submit a simple application to work at the Reading Craft Beer Festival. Just click on the volunteer tab for more information on signing up.

 

Are discounted group tickets available?

Yes, discounted group tickets are available for groups of 10 or more and must be purchased at one time to qualify for Group Rate. Groups receive a $5 discount off the Advance Ticket Price for more information on group sales, call 610-898-7204.
